Bakersfield, California

Properties located in Northeast Bakersfield were prevented from development due to lack of sewer facilities. We were contacted by property owners and the City of Bakersfield to form an assessment district and provide engineering for 14.1 miles of sewer main.

On the Northeast Sewer Project, we served as the consulting firm responsible for the full life-cycle of the project from the feasibility stage through construction inspection.

Specific study areas we evaluated for this project included:

  1. reconnaissance, topographic surveys, planning and feasibility studies

  2. various pipe materials for their compatibility with planned trench depths

  3. existing soil conditions

  4. the cost of imported backfill material verses native material
