Porter & Associates, Inc. was on the URS Corporation team to develop the Bakersfield Systems Study for the purpose of identifying transportation needs and concerns as well as examining possible improvements and solutions within the metropolitan area. Our task was to research utilities, as-built plans, and right-of-way for the various alternative freeway alignments in the systems study. We also prepared a map showing utility and other physical constraints for the preferred alternative alignments. This project was completed for Kern Council of Governments.
