Taft, California

The South Kern Industrial Center is a heavy industrial development that is located approximately south of Bakersfield and east of Taft.  The total estimated construction cost is approximately $25,000,000.

Porter & Associates, Inc. has recently worked on a 750,000 ton per year composting facility and specific plan amendment located within SKIC.

For the original development project, we were responsible for the initial planning stage of the project.  We also provided engineering & surveying services.  We prepared street and highway improvement plans, a County highway channelization plan, a railroad signal plan and application, sewer improvement plans, drainage improvement plans and a water facility plan.
